چکیده

Exponential deterioration in pavement caused by heavy loads, temperature variations, and rainfall had led to failure. To overcome those failures, bitumen properties needed be enhanced an economical sustainable way. Researchers have used various modifiers enhance the of virgin bitumen, but end product still does not seem accepted asphalt industry at required level. On other hand, construction cost has also increased due addition modifiers, which varying performance characteristics. address such issues, waste materials as crumb rubber obtained from tyres are bitumen. The incorporation been well proven for decades. However, is widely limitations consistency uniformity during after production stages. In this research, was converted into pyrolyzed oil using a pyrolysis protocol it observed through values penetration softening point test shows that optimum 2% can treated with increase workability flowability low temperatures, additional form added homogenously. results showed quantity 20% mass blended modified 5% more compared untreated simultaneously increases physical mechanical mix. It enhances point, viscosity, storage stability while decreasing value.

Rheological properties of modified Bitumen: Comparison of waste polymers’ performance

In this investigation, rheological properties of three different polymer-modified bitumen compounds containing recycled polyethylene terephthalate (R-PET), crumb rubber (CR) and poly (styrene-butadiene-styrene) (SBS) are evaluated and compared. The modified samples were tested by a dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) where complex modulus (G*), phase angle (δ) and rutting resistance (G*/Sinδ) of spec...

Comparative Study of Eva and Waste Polymer Modified Bitumen

Polymer-modified bitumen is used to combat different pavement distresses and to increase the life span of pavement. Unmodified bitumen cannot perform better with the range extreme minimum and maximum pavement temperatures. The polymers commonly used to modify the bitumen are ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) styrene butadiene styrene (SBS). The aim this study to compare the performance of EVA modifi...
